I recentlyI recently tried a fairly new restaurant, Blue Sage Café. There are two locations, West Linn and Lake Oswego. For some this may be a little out of the way to get a burger but it is well worth the gas to get there!
I had the Blue Sage Burger. Talk about a burger with a kick! It is a ½ pound, topped with roasted Poblano peppers, pepper jack cheese on a Tillamook cheddar onion bun with mustard aioli, tomato and lettuce. It was the best burger I’ve had in a long time!
My father had the Outlaw Burger. He doesn’t really get that enthusiastic about anything but baseball and golf so when he said, “This is the best hamburger I have ever had” I knew it had to be something special. The Outlaw Burger is 1/3 pound, with a fried egg, ham, smoked bacon, American cheese, Thousand Island dressing on a sesame seed bun. I had a hard time fitting my mouth around it to try a bite!
Blue Sage Café offers much more than burgers, they offer “American favorites with a Southwestern Flair”. But after having the burger, I don’t know that I want to “mess with perfection” and try anything new!
